Saturday 21st July 2018 saw the return of the Adrian
Flux British FIM Speedway Grand Prix at Cardiff's Principality Stadium and many were part of the magic and the unbelievable atmosphere.
23 races, 16 riders, only one winner... the public got to witness the best
riders in the world battle it out on bikes with no brakes! It was an action
packaged night and fun for the whole family.
Great Britain's double World Champion Tai Woffinden
was back in search of his first Cardiff win as the warriors of
shale battled it out in one of Britain's most epic nights of motorsport.
Gorilla Grass were instrumental in the overall look of the stadium. They were reponsible for the supplying and installation of over 5000m of artificial grass in the centre of the stadium.
This was certainly a tough and back-breaking job, however the team had all 36 rolls of grass installed and ready to go by 19th July in plenty of time for this unmissable event.
On Saturday the stadium was packed and buzzing with all age groups attending. The Gorilla Grass looked spectacular and the whole event was a fantastic show. Tai Woffinden managed 2nd place while Bartosz Zmarzlik came out on top in 1st position. Majej Janowski took 3rd.
What a night! The Gorilla Grass team were back at the stadium by 9pm that night and worked to a tight schedule to carefully remove the grass ready for the next event!
